In times of crisis, times of recovery, and times of growth, United Way of Erie County is here to help lead the fight for the health, education, financial stability and safety net services of every person in Erie County. We are meeting community needs today and committed to building a stronger Erie County for the future. As always, we are convening partners, leading collaborations and making a difference. We have set bold goals to drive real change in our community. We need you to join us.
The United Way of Erie County is preparing to support our community needs through 2022 funding opportunities for agencies who will make the greatest impact now and in the future.
If your agency will be operating a 2022 program to positively affect the lives of the people of Erie County in the areas of health, education, financial stability, or safety net services, we encourage you to apply for funding.

- United Way of Erie County is committed to investing in programs that produce measurable results. Please be prepared to quantify the positive impact your program will have on Erie County in 2022.
- To be awarded funding, a program must be affiliated with a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
- Please be sure to indicate on the application which impact area your program is dedicated to, affecting positive change.
- With the COVID-19 pandemic profoundly affecting so many lives in Erie County, United Way will be giving significant consideration to those programs that can make a measurable reduction on the impact the pandemic has had in our community.
Applications will only be available via our website from,Thursday, July 1, 2021 through Friday, July 30, 2021. Applications must be submitted electronically by midnight Friday, July 30, 2021.
Please, no mailed or faxed applications. No applications received beyond the deadline will be considered.

For over 98 years, the United Way of Erie County has been fighting alongside good people just like you, for the citizens of our county. The fight continues and the COVID-19 pandemic has drastically altered the battlefield. This new battlefield requires we do more with less. Now more than ever, we must come together to create positive, lasting change in our communities. We must UNITE to reimagine our communities and our world; when we fight together, we accomplish so much more.
