"Discover Sailing!" Weekend

Harbor North Marina will host an open house on June 4th and 5th, 2011 as part of a campaign called "Discover Sailing!" The purpose is to promote the sport of sailing while benefiting United Way of Erie County.

Harbor North will sponsor sailboat rides, demonstrations, free refreshments and a number of other activities between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm to encourage people to learn more about sailing and become involved in the sport. Pro...ceeds from the sailboat rides (suggested donation is $10 per person) will help benefit the United Way of Erie County. All Harbor North "Discover Sailing!" participants will be entered in a drawing for a free two-day US SAILING class, for one person at Harbor North.

"Our 'Discover Sailing!' Open House will give people of all ages a chance to experience sailing in a fun, relaxed atmosphere," says Bruce Roberts of Harbor North. Last year, Harbor North took just over 300 people out sailing on this weekend.
